IBM Personal Computer BASIC Compiler/2 Version 1.00
Released in 1987 by IBM
For DOS and OS/2

The Personal Computer BASIC Compiler is a BASIC language compiler
written by Microsoft and licensed to IBM for use on the IBM Personal
Computer. It is mostly compatible with BASIC code written for IBM
Cassette/Disk basic, however the compiled code will run much faster
and eliminates the need to distribute source. Compiled programs do
not require IBM BASIC in ROM. Available releases

Release notes

Around the release of the IBM PS/2, IBM confusingly rebranded many of
their products with the "/2" suffix, regardless if there had already
been a "2" release. Really this would be "3.0".

This release should correspond with Microsoft BASIC Compiler 6.0.

This version supports creating executables for both DOS and OS/2 1.x.
